Girls’ Soccer: Estancia, CdM open playoffs at Jim Scott Stadium

The Estancia High and Corona del Mar girls’ soccer teams have spent the season sharing the field at Jim Scott Stadium.

The teams will share the field once again to open the CIF Southern Section playoffs. Both squads received home matches in Thursday’s first round, as the brackets were released on Monday.

CdM (15-3-4), the Pacific Coast League champion, will have the field first. The Sea Kings play against Los Osos at 3 p.m. in a Division 1 first-round match.

Los Osos (14-7-4) finished tied for third in the Baseline League.

Estancia (9-2-11), the Orange Coast League champion, will take the field to play in its Division 4 first-round match at 5 p.m.

The Eagles will play the wild-card winner of Thursday’s game of El Segundo at Beverly Hills.

El Segundo (10-8-3) finished third in the Pioneer League. Beverly Hills (11-9-2) finished third in the Ocean League.

In Division 5, Sage Hill, which finished third in the Academy League plays at Notre Vista in Riverside in a wild-card match on Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Notre Vista (9-8-1), finished third in the River Valley League. The winner plays at Bloomington (15-1), the Sunkist League champ, on Thursday.
