IRVINE — Senior Morgan Stewart scored five goals and added four steals for the Sea Kings in Monday’s Pacific Coast League match at Woodbridge High.

Senior Cassidy Papa had three goals, five assists and three steals for CdM (21-4, 9-0 in league), which has clinched the league title outright. Marina Coskinas scored twice for CdM, ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, and senior goalie Erica Weed made six saves.

Corona del Mar plays host to Beckman in its league finale Wednesday.

Costa Mesa 18, St. Joseph’s 1

COSTA MESA — Junior goalkeeper Kaitlyn Hill scored twice for the Mustangs in Monday’s nonleague game at home, one from the goal and one from the field.

Hill added seven saves for the Mustangs (16-10). Kellie Thorsness had a match-high five goals, and Aubry Hill added three goals, three assists and seven steals.

Melissa Folkerts and Lauren Smith added three goals each and Ashley Tfaye scored twice for Costa Mesa, which plays at home Thursday against Bolsa Grande.

Estancia 2, Godinez 0

COSTA MESA — Alondra Guzman scored twice for the Eagles in Monday’s Orange Coast League match at Jim Scott Stadium.

Estancia, which handed the Grizzlies their first league loss, improved to 7-2-12, and 3-0-6 in league. The Eagles are tied for second place in league with Saddleback (4-2-3) with 15 points, two points behind Godinez (5-1-2).

Estancia closes out its regular season by playing Calvary Chapel on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. at Centennial Park. Estancia could share the league title by beating Calvary Chapel and having Godinez lose to Saddleback.

Woodbridge 2, Corona del Mar 0

IRVINE — The Sea Kings suffered their second straight Pacific Coast League loss, falling to the league-leading Warriors Monday at Alton Park.

Goalie Hagen Truninger made four saves.

Woodbridge scored on a penalty kick after the Sea Kings were assessed a red card.

CdM (3-2-3 in league) had multiple shots on goal by Conor Roche and Jack Nowak but still finished scoreless.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Marina 40, Newport Harbor 29

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Jordan Perry scored 10 points for the Sailors in the Sunset League game Monday.

Bela Raimondi and Jenny Lopez had four points each for Newport Harbor.
