SANTA ANA — Freshman Kevin Pizarro and senior Chris Gomez scored second-half goals for the Eagles in the Orange Coast League game Wednesday at Centennial Park.

Jorge Mendoza assisted Gomez's goal for Estancia (7-4-3, 2-1 in league). Godinez answered with a goal in the 75th minute, but the Eagles were able to hang on and upset Godinez (7-2-2, 1-1-1), the seventh-ranked team in Orange County by the Orange County Register.

Estancia plays host to Saddleback at 5:15 p.m. Friday at Jim Scott Stadium.

COSTA MESA — Junior goalkeeper Brandon Menez made eight saves against the defending Orange Coast League champion Roadrunners on Wednesday, helping the Mustangs remain unbeaten in league play.

IRVINE — Senior striker Jack Nowak recorded the Sea Kings' lone goal in a Pacific Coast League match on Wednesday.

John O'Connor had the assist for CdM (6-5-4, 1-0-2 in league).

Sophomore goalies Gavin Allen and Stonor Boyse each had one save, and senior Davis Case and junior Jay Damon stood out on defense for the Sea Kings.

NEWPORT BEACH — Carly Christian, Elissia Schilling and Rachel Whitelegge each scored three goals for the Sailors in the Sunset League match Wednesday night at Newport Harbor High.

Christina O'Beck scored twice for the Sailors (13-4, 3-0 in league), and Cleo Harrington made nine saves.
