SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Jack Percival and Eric Cheng each scored to help the Lightning rally, but Sage Hill lost in the second overtime against its Academy League rival Thursday.

Trailing, 2-0, Percival, a first-team all-league selection last year, scored 25 minutes into the second half. It was Percival’s first game this season as he sat out with a knee injury.

With eight minutes left in regulation, Cheng scored for Sage Hill (1-4, 0-1 in league). But the Tartans, the defending league champions, would respond later.

In the Academy League, there are two non-sudden death, 10-minute overtime periods.
