THE SKINNY: The No. 2 Hurricanes decisively ended the Seminoles home unbeaten streak at 54 games and home-winning streak at 37 games and UM piled up the most points it ever had against FSU. It was just the fifth time a Bobby Bowden-coached team has lost at home by double digits. The Hurricanes had two special-teams touchdowns, a fumble returned for a score and three other FSU turnovers led to UM touchdowns.
QUOTABLE: "This is a statement game to let everybody know we are the No. 1 team. We're the only team that can beat Florida State the way we did. -- Defensive lineman Andrew Williams
