Music to my ears: Not in the mood to go to the mall on Black Friday but want to find a classic(al) deal? The Pacific Symphony is hinting to its email subscribers about special one-day-only deals available on its website, https://www.pacificsymphony.org.

Weekend smorgasbord: IKEA will continue its Seize the Days promotion with daily doorbusters this weekend, like a four-opening Expedit shelving unit for $19.99 (regularly $39.99) on Friday, a four-pack of Dinera plates or bowls for $4.99 (regularly $9.99-$14.99) on Saturday, and a Benno entertainment center on casters for $39.99 (regularly $79.99) on Sunday. Wake up and shop: Cafecito Organico at The LAB Antimall and Blackmarket Bakery and Vitaly at The CAMP, both in Costa Mesa, will serve free black coffee from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday while supplies last. Other Black Friday deals will be posted at TheLab.com and TheCAMPsite.com.

Local businesses will compete with the Black Friday big-box store deals with their own Small Business Saturday:

Suiting up: The new North Menswear store, 380 Glenneyre St., Laguna Beach, will celebrate its opening with a special for customers. Those who bring in a receipt dated Nov. 30 from another Laguna Beach small business will receive a 10% discount. Information: northmenswear.com.

In living color: The new, organic Lollipop Nail Studio at The CAMP, 2937 Bristol St., Costa Mesa, will offer 10% off all nail products and services Saturday. Veggie Grill, which boasts three locations in Irvine, will offer patrons a free entree when they make a $30 gift card purchase. The Philly’s Best cheesesteak chain will offer a $5 reward card to those who purchase a $25 gift card.

Scent of a deal: Savory Spice Shop — at 928 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach, and 3313 Hyland Ave., Suite C, Costa Mesa — is featuring spices and blends that are perfect for holiday dishes. Santa in the sand: The St. Regis Monarch Beach, 1 Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point, will host its 13th annual holiday sand-sculpture dedication and tree-lighting ceremony from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday. This year’s mistress of ceremonies will be Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor. The 8-ton sculpture will incorporate a beach theme.
