Surf for a cause: Rip Curl will host a team signing and raffle fundraiser Saturday at its San Clemente outlet store, 3011 S. El Camino Real. The day also will include free tacos and other giveaways. The Surf Industry Manufacturers Assn. Humanitarian Fund is hosting a monthlong fundraising effort, known as StokesMe, to benefit 12 surf- and board sport-related nonprofits that are dedicated to improving people’s lives. Seventy-six retailers, including Huntington Surf & Sport and Jack’s Surfboards, also have launched an “add-a-buck” initiative this month, asking customers to add a dollar to their purchase in support of StokesMe.
