William Stephen Kreisle passed away on July 26, 2014 at his home in Costa Mesa, CA. Steve was born and raised in Tell City, Indiana, the second child of William E. and Margaret Kreisle. After graduating from Indiana University in 1964, he moved to Southern California where he met the love of his life, Carol Caterina, in 1969. Until his retirement in 2006, Steve worked primarily in the real estate industry, the last thirty years as the CFO of Warmington Homes.

Steve enjoyed traveling, reading, playing tennis, and getting together with friends to tell jokes over an ice cold Pepsi or Coors Light. He was a NASCAR fan, loved family gatherings, and spent 11 years volunteering as the “Voice of the Eagles” for the Estancia High School boys basketball team. Steve had a quick wit and was a terrific storyteller. He was always a source of great joy, and a truly wise, generous, and honorable man. Steve was admired by so many in his life, both as a mentor and a friend, and will always be remembered for his warm personality and sense of humor.

Steve is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Kelly (Ashley) Burke and Katie (Tyler) Johnson, grandsons Ryan and Evan Burke, sisters Mary Kay Kreisle, Judy McGee, Kristine Emmons, Alice Kreisle, and Susan Lasher, and one brother, Richard Kreisle. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Peggy, and his brother Tim.
