William S. Brown Jr.<br/>April 20, 1942 - February 28, 2015

Born in Los Angeles, Bill is survived by his 2 sisters, Katheryn Wilson and Marilyn Snellstrom-Williams, and 2 brothers James Brown and Dennis Brown. Also survived by his children, Beige Nelson and Alex Brown, and his 6 beloved grandchildren.

Known to many as Billy, he grew up in the Eugene, Oregon area. He made life-long friends in Eugene and began his working years there at University of Oregon. He forged a career in the developing and now very popular sportswear industry. His accomplishments in top of the market national sales, working for well-known garment manufacturers such as Champion, were ground breaking in bringing college and professional sports team logos to the public.

Bill was an avid sports enthusiast -especially football. He was a dedicated DUCKS fan and passed on his passion of watching football to his kids! Bill resided for 25 years in Newport Beach, California where he raised his children. That is also the place and time of many treasured memories. As an involved father, he coached their elementary AYSO soccer teams and always encouraged them to work very hard at everything!

Bill’s favorite hobbies were riding horses and tending cattle. He worked with horses and cattle all throughout his life and in his later years, he ventured a side career owning a feed and saddle store in San Juan Capistrano. To this day, his children are grateful for the many life lessons they learned working in this family business!

Bill was a long time member of the El Viaje de Portola/Horsemen’s and Cowboy group out of San Juan Capistrano. This was a huge part of his identity and strong bonds were developed with other members that go far and deep. He shared passion of “Good Times” through horseback, wrangling cattle and comradery on the trail.

Bill went to be with Our Lord on February 28, 2015. He battled debilitating health in the last year, but always was overjoyed to be with family and friends. His strength of spirit and zest for life will remain with us always- IN LOVING MEMORY!
