Eugene Edward Verge

Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a stroke. He leaves his wife of 17 years,
Shirley (Holdern) Verge; his daughter, Janene (Verge) Ferguson and her husband, John
Ferguson; five stepchildren; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and many
friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Nadine (Smith) Verge. The
son of Helen (McCune) and Eugene Verge, Gene was born and raised in Glendale, CA. He served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He went on to practice architecture in Eagle Rock, CA, for 35 years before retiring to Newport Beach. A funeral service was held December 6 at Pacific View Memorial Park.
