Troyce Wendell Wiley, age 89, died in Mission Viejo, California on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

Troyce was born in Slaton, Texas in 1925 to James and Tonie Mae Wiley. One of five children, he grew up in Levelland, Texas. After graduating from High School, Troyce enlisted in the Army and proudly served in Europe during World War II. After the war he returned to Texas to study engineering at Texas Tech University.

While working at Convair in Fort Worth, Texas, Troyce met his wife, Joanne Hartsell. In 1958, Troyce and Joanne moved to Costa Mesa, California where they raised their three children.

Troyce worked as an aerospace engineer at SPS for 28 years. In 1988, he and Joanne retired to Vista, California, where Troyce enjoyed his favorite pastimes, including golf, board games, and traveling across the country with Joanne in their RV.

Troyce was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends. At family gatherings “Granddad” delighted in playing dominoes with his grandchildren.

Troyce is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne; children, Pat (Liz) Wiley, Sue (Tom) Moore, Mike (Lauren) Wiley; grandchildren, Sarah, Dana, Anna, Taylor, Nicholas and Keaton; great grandchildren, Kiera, Emily and James; sister, Marvine; and brother, James. He was preceded in death by brothers Clint and Weldon.
