Thomas Richard Norton<br/>February 6, 1936 - August 1, 2014

A Life Celebration Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 4th, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 2046 Mar Vista Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660. Burial will follow at 10am, Friday, September 5, 2014 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518. Memorial donations, In lieu of flowers, may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Thomas was born in San Francisco, Ca. to Jerry and Janet Norton. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School in SF. In 1958 he married the former Eleanore Nancy Hoefflin in SF. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and two Master’s Degrees. He was a Major in the USMC. Thomas worked at Xerox in Engineering management for 25 years. He served as former president and treasurer of the Exchange Club of Newport Beach. Thomas loved golf, Irish Ancestry, reading, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Tom was first and foremost a family man and is survived by his wife of 56 years Eleanore, his children Nancy, Tom II and Lynda and their spouses Ron and Pearl, and his ten grandchildren, his sister Shela and his eight nieces and nephews.
