William K. Roberts, PhD

Bill (Shiner) Roberts, 82 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on March 3, 2011
at his home in Phoenix, AZ. Bill was born on December 10, 1928 in Provo, UT
to Lillian and Boyd Roberts. He graduated from Newport Harbor High School in the Class of 1947. Bill received a B.S. in Agriculture Animal Husbandry from California State Polytechnic College in San Luis Obispo and went on to graduate with a Masters of Science in Agriculture and a Doctor of Philosophy from Washington State College. He was a Nutritional Consultant for the Cattle Industry. Bill was an Eagle Scout, served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War, a member of the ‘Goat Hill Gang’, a tennis player and an avid fisherman. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Sterling and Boyd Roberts. He is survived by his brother, Jim Roberts of Costa Mesa, wife Joan Roberts of Phoenix, children Jeff (Jeanne Bradshaw), Tammy (Mike Auther), Julie (Tom Pancrazi), grandchildren Caitlin (Jude Miller), Ben Auther, Allison Auther, Colin Pancrazi, Clayton Pancrazi, Coralie Pancrazi and four nieces. Memorial service will be held on Saturday the 12th of March at 2:00 pm at the Unitarian Universalists Congregation of Phoenix, 4027 E. Lincoln Drive Paradise Valley, AZ 85253.
