Robert W. Schilling<br/>May 21, 1918 - August 28, 2014

Bob passed away peacefully at Hoag Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 28. He was born on May 21, 1918, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Cecil and Jenny Schilling. Bob was married for 60 years to his wife, Leone, who preceded him in death. He was a beloved father to Tasha Schilling, Marjorie (Craig) Page, and Barbara (Kurt) Page and a loving grandfather to Steven Hartman and Brian Page, and great-granddaughter, Katelyn Hartman. A Long Beach Poly graduate, Bob attended USC. He practiced architecture and was a member of the American Institute of Architects. He retired from Bechtel Corporation after being the project manager on the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. Bob and Leone moved to Atascadero where he learned woodcarving which he continued after moving to Orange County, spending his last 15 years on Balboa Island.

A brief memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 6 at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn in Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Orange County Woodcarvers, in care of Bill Bahret (714) 771-6129.
