Renee Desloge Nelson passed away suddenly on Saturday July 12, 2014 in Newport Beach, California, as a result of Massive Head Trauma due to a fall.

She was born December 12, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Mary Institute in St. Louis and Bradford College in Massachusetts. She also attended Maryville University to obtain a teaching degree. She spent many years as an effective and caring teacher.

Renee had many wonderful times in Harbor Springs, Michigan, John’s Island, Florida and Nantucket, Massachusetts. She was an accomplished classical pianist, a gourmet cook and an avid animal lover.

Her late grandparents were Mr. & Mrs. Theodore P. Desloge and Dr. & Mrs. Roy W. Osterkamp. She is survived by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Theodore P. Desloge, Jr., Her devoted sister Lila Michelle C. Desloge, her Aunt Lila J. Osterkamp and numerous cousins.

Renee was a lovely, sensitive, loyal and caring woman who had many wonderful friends including Kimmy Miller, Leslie Scherer, Mark Jaffe, Anne Kresko, Anja Klaus and her soulmate of twelve years, Douglas Wooding. The world is truly a sadder place without her.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Lupton Chapel, 7233 Delmar Blvd., St. Louis, on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Private Interment Calvary Cemetery. A Memorial Service will also be held in Newport Beach, California at a later date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective Association of Missouri, 1705 South Hanley Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63144-2909.
