Obituary for Arthur D. Perrone Sr.

Arthur D. Perrone Sr. of Costa Mesa, California died on May 8, 2011, 104 years to the day of his birth in a small town on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After the death of his mother, the family moved to Chicago when he was a small child. Married to his wife, Mary Santo Perrone for 67 years, he worked for the same company in Chicago for 45 years until his retirement in 1969. He and his wife moved to Southern California in 1974. Mr Perrone was a life long, loyal Chicago Cub fan who always believed that the next year would be the year the Cubs would win the title. The Chicago team saw their last World Series victory in 1908, a year after Mr. Perrone’s birth. A century was not enough time to share in the Cubs’ glory.

He is survived by his son, Arthur D. Perrone, Jr of Newport Beach, California, his daughter-in-law, Sheila, grandson, Jacques and his wife Lauren, grandson, Sean and two great grand daughters, Katherine and Ashlyn

A memorial mass will be celebrated at Our lady Queen of Angels Church in Newport Beach on June 2, 2011 at 11:00am..
