Car crash kills Irvine man, 18

An Irvine man was killed when his vehicle crashed into a traffic signal pole Sunday morning.

Michael Kwame Kwabi, 18, was found near Orchard Hills and Wolf Trail at about 7 a.m. and pronounced dead at the scene, Irvine police said.

Kwabi was the only occupant of an Infiniti Q45 sedan when it hit the pole at the southwest corner of the intersection, officials said.
