Sexual assault reported at UCI residence hall

UC Irvine police are investigating a report of a sexual assault in campus housing last weekend.

A female student told police she was assaulted while incapacitated sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, authorities said.

The attack occurred in the Mesa Court residence hall, police said.

Authorities said the suspect is a white 18-year-old man about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a dark complexion, short black hair and dark brown eyes. The student knows the suspect, police said.
