Mariners Church now aglow for the holidays

Mariners Church in Irvine lighted its Christmas tree Friday during a free community celebration featuring food, family activities and real snow.

The Mariners Church college group performed its wacky version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” and a Global Marketplace offered gift shopping, with a portion of proceeds going to church and charitable projects.

The church is at 5001 Newport Coast Drive.
