UFC heavyweight fighter Shane del Rosario is in critical condition at Hoag Hospital after he suffered a heart attack in his Newport Beach home Tuesday morning.

Rosario, 30, arrived at the hospital in full cardiac arrest and was revived in the emergency room, his manager Jason House confirmed on Twitter Wednesday.

“He was resuscitated in the emergency room back to a stable heart rhythm and blood pressure,” he wrote. “He is currently in the coronary care unit critically ill. Our prayers are with him and his family.”

Del Rosario trains at Team Oyama, a gym in Irvine. His trainer could not be reached for comment.

“We’re hoping to learn more tonight and release something then,” House told the Daily Pilot Wednesday afternoon.

Del Rosario competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which features mixed martial arts.
