Vessels going up for auction in Newport

Newport Beach officials will auction off abandoned boats Dec. 6 at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Harbor Patrol Division in Corona del Mar.

Potential buyers can look at the vessels up for sale starting at 8 a.m. before the auction begins at 9 a.m. Buyers must pay with cash immediately after the auction, according to the city.

The auction will take place at 1901 Bayside Drive.

The city’s Harbor Resources Division occasionally hosts such auctions, according to Newport’s website.
