Newport police find missing disabled man

Update: Police located Andres Martin Tuesday night and reunited him with his family unharmed.

Earlier: Newport Beach police are asking for help finding a mentally disabled man who has been missing since Monday.

Andres Martin, 21, is unable to safely care for himself and is nonverbal, but he understands English and Spanish, police said.

He was last seen in Newport Beach wearing a plaid long-sleeved shirt, gray pants and black Skullcandy headphones, police said. The shirt had a black, green and white pattern.

Police described Martin as Hispanic, 6 feet tall and 135 pounds, with a slight beard.

Authorities are asking that anyone who sees Martin or has information about his whereabouts call 911 or (949) 644-3717.
