Corona del Mar bank robbed by armed man
A man flashed a handgun while he robbed a Corona del Mar bank Friday afternoon, according to police.
The suspect, who was white and in his 40s, walked into the branch about 2 p.m. and displayed the gun before escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash, Sgt. Tracy McKenzie said.
The bank he robbed is in the 2800 East Coast Highway block, Newport Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella said.
No other information was immediately available.
