An intruder visited a pornographic website and used the bathroom in a Costa Mesa home early Friday before the resident confronted him, police said.

The suspected burglar also drank mouthwash at the home, which is in the 200 block of Cabrillo Street on the Eastside, Sgt. Clint Dieball said.

The home's resident woke up shortly after midnight, discovered the man and held him until officers arrived, police said. The man was

booked on suspicion of burglary and a parole violation, Sgt. Phil Myers said.

Myers declined to release the intruder's name but described him as a 26-year-old Costa Mesa resident.
