Gratitude, grub for Costa Mesa public-safety workers

The Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce said thank you to the city’s first responders Thursday with free food and raffle prizes.

The chamber presented its annual public-safety recognition barbecue at the OC Fair & Event Center, just across the street from the Costa Mesa Police Department.

Police, firefighters and the city’s 911 dispatchers were treated to lunch while the chamber raffled off prizes donated by the community.
