A car driven by a man suspected of drunk driving slammed into the back of a Wienerschnitzel in Costa Mesa on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The red sedan was moving at high speed when it crashed into a short, exterior brick wall at the back of the fast-food restaurant in the 1900 block of Harbor Boulevard, Costa Mesa police Sgt. Matt Selinske said.

City firefighters worked for a half-hour using heavy equipment to free the driver, Selinske said.
