The Cat Clinic of Orange County, a Costa Mesa veterinary business that opened in 1988, is closing Monday.

Dr. Kelly Wright, a feline veterinarian and owner of the facility since 2007, said her business has been operating at a loss and she could not recoup her original investment.

“It’s not for lack of great clients,” Wright said. “They all want to follow me, and I have nothing to tell them.”

While noting the sympathetic outpouring from her clients, she added, “I am just sick about losing my dream, my cats, my clients.”

The Cat Clinic occupied a two-story, 5,550-square-foot building at 1680 Tustin Ave. in the Eastside. The business also offered a cat spa and 50-space boarding hotel.
