Marines need donated gowns for spouses

The Costa Mesa Military Affairs Team is looking for donations of lightly used prom dresses, ball gowns, cocktail dresses and accessories for spouses of the 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, the city’s adopted battalion.

The clothing will be used during the annual Marine Corps birthday ball in November.

Through Sept. 18, donations can be placed in the 1/5 footlocker in the first-floor lobby of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive.
