Curry to hold last Meet the Mayor event

Newport Beach Mayor Keith Curry will host a Meet the Mayor event Saturday morning at the Balboa Branch of the Newport Beach Public Library.

The meeting, the third and last scheduled for Curry in his year as mayor, will begin with a brief overview about the ongoing work being done by the City Council and city staff.

Curry will then address any comments, suggestions and questions from Newport residents and business owners in attendance.

The event will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the library, 100 E. Balboa Blvd.

Curry started the Meet the Mayor program when he served as mayor in 2010, said city spokeswoman Mary Locey.

His current term will end in December. Mayoral positions rotate among members of the City Council.
