405 Freeway traffic back to normal after Jamboree ramp crash

Share

Northbound traffic on the 405 Freeway was snarled Tuesday afternoon when a sedan crashed into a light pole along the Jamboree Road onramp, knocking the pole into the roadway, authorities said.

The crash, which occurred just before 1 p.m., prompted a SigAlert, according to California Highway Patrol Officer John Latosquin.

The pole had blocked the right two lanes of the freeway, but one was reopened just before 2 p.m. By 4:15 p.m., traffic was back to normal.

Officers at the scene reported that at least one person was taken to the hospital, Latosquin said, but the extent of his or her injuries were unknown.
