An attack with brass knuckles at Volcom's Costa Mesa headquarters late Wednesday left one person hospitalized, according to Costa Mesa police.

Few details were available Thursday afternoon, but police said they responded around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday after an altercation began at the skate and surf apparel company's campus in the 1700 block of Monrovia Avenue.

One person suffered cuts on his forehead, Sgt. Ed Everett said. Two or three males attacked the person and fled in a car, police said. Descriptions were not immediately available.

Costa Mesa Fire Department personnel took the injured person to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.
