New Juice It Up! drink for 20th anniversary

Juice It Up!, the Irvine-based smoothie and juice bar chain, is celebrating its 20th anniversary and a new seasonal smoothie, the California Cooler.

The drink contains cucumber, pineapple juice, lemonade, lime sherbet and pineapple.

Clothing store expands to CdM

Red Fox “Good Clothes,” which has a women’s clothing store in Laguna Beach, is opening a second location in Corona del Mar.

The second store plans to open Aug. 8 at 3500 E. Coast Hwy., at the corner of Narcissus Avenue. The grand opening will feature a raffle and discounts.

The CdM location “will carry many of the same favorite brands and styles that Red Fox clients love, as well as a cleverly and tasteful edited selection of exceptional new brands and designers from around the world,” the company stated in a press release.

“After more than three fantastic years in Laguna Beach, I have decided to take advantage of new opportunities and bring Red Fox to Corona del Mar,” said Jeremy Scruggs, co-owner of Red Fox, said in a statement.

Irvine mobile game company ‘best place to work’

The Orange County Business Journal has named MobilityWare one of this year’s “best places to work in Orange County,” according to a news release.

The Irvine-based mobile game company — known for its release of a solitaire game that’s achieved 50 billion plays — is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It celebrated by taking its entire staff and their families on a weeklong vacation to Hawaii.

“It’s hard to believe 25 years have passed since we started this journey, and that at our age, we are growing faster now than we did when we started,” said MobilityWare founder Dave Yonamine in a statement.

New tax director for Irvine firm

Hall & Co., an Irvine-based tax and accounting firm, recently named Michael S. Silvio as its director of tax services.

Silvio, a certified public accountant, has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, serving a variety of businesses fields like technology, consumer products and biotech, according to a news release. He also has conducted more than 450 research credit studies.

Bar Method studio opens in Costa Mesa

Three local women have opened up a Bar Method studio in Costa Mesa’s downtown.

The studio is at 1835 Newport Blvd., Suite A-106, in the Costa Mesa Courtyards shopping center.

“The Bar Method is a safe, fun, hourlong workout that uses isometric exercises to strengthen and tone all major muscle groups, followed by periods of stretching to elongate, lengthen and align the body,” according to a news release.

The studio is co-owned by Jessica Rennison, Whitney Bania and Anika Yeager.

“Fitness is such a staple of everyday life here in Orange County,” Rennison said in a statement. “The three of us wanted to make sure that anybody in the area that wants to join the Bar Method and experience the incredible results has the ability to do so, no matter where their day may take them.”

Company acquires Irvine-based PR firm

Airtime PR, an Irvine-based public relations firm formed in January 2014, was recently acquired by Starch Creative.

All of Airtime’s employees will now work out of Starch’s offices, also in Irvine, at 18207 McDurmott East, Suite I. Starch, which will take Airtime’s clients, was formed in April by Michael Hurst and Brandon Ball, both formerly of Vans shoes as senior directors of global environmental design, where they helped Vans’ retail identity and branding around the world.
