Police are looking for a man who robbed a bank near University and Michelson drives in Irvine on Tuesday morning.

The man walked into the Union Bank branch at 5311 University Drive around 10:40 a.m., verbally demanded cash from a teller and fled on foot, Irvine police spokeswoman Farrah Emami said.

The man was apparently unarmed, Emami said.

Police described him as black and in his 50s, with a gray mustache and husky build. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue medical scrubs pants, a blue baseball cap and white tennis shoes, Emami said.
