Alleged intimidation leads to arrest

Police arrested an Anaheim gang member on suspicion of intimidating a Costa Mesa witness to dissuade her from testifying in an assault case, authorities said Thursday.

Obed Moyses “Danger” Navarrete-Salgado, 19, was arrested June 26, according to Costa Mesa police.

Police said he threatened to harm a co-defendant in the assault case and the co-defendant’s family. Police did not release information about the assault case.

Navarrete-Salgado remains in Orange County Men’s Central Jail in Santa Ana.

Police said they are looking for additional victims or suspects.
