Local water supply ‘surpasses standards’

Share

As part of a pilot program this year, the Mesa Water District recently released its annual water quality report online.

The 2014 report details testing and safety standards for the district’s water in 2013. It also breaks down how much of any given substance the district found in the local water supply during testing.

According to a statement from the district, the local water supply “not only meets, but surpasses all state and federal drinking water standards.”

The full report is available at mesawater.org/water_quality.

By distributing the report electronically instead of on paper, the district said it saved about $9,000.

Hard copies are available in the district’s headquarters at 1965 Placentia Avenue.
