New development offers Newport living for less
Newport Beach living may become a little bit more affordable with the grand opening of Newport Palisades and its collection of new single-family detached homes priced in the high-$600,000s.
Saturday’s grand opening will be open to the public to feature the 33-home community. Half of the homes have been sold or reserved.
“The Newport Palisades Collection provides new homebuyers with a great opportunity to enjoy the unique lifestyle found in Newport Beach,” said Ernie Gallardo, vice president of Mesa Orchard Associates.
The collection has two models, each with three bedrooms, two and half baths, a two-car garage, a veranda or loft, and 1,695 or 1,814 square feet of living space.
The Newport Palisades is the only home community being built in the city at less than $2 million and will be part of the Newport-Mesa Unified School District area, Gallardo said.
Schools offered to Newport Palisades residents include, Kaiser or Woodland elementary, Ensign Intermediate and Newport Harbor High.
Homeowner association fees are $135 and homes come pre-wired for solar panels and Control4 home automation systems, which allow residents to control lighting, climate, security and entertainment systems via remote control, iPad or smartphone.
The sales office, 1562 Orchard Drive, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
