Nine of 12 teams that will compete in this summer’s Governor’s Cup International Junior Match Race Championship have been selected.

Two teams from the Balboa Yacht Club will be competing in the 48th annual event, led by skippers Ryan Davidson and Christophe Killian, according to a news release.

Davidson placed third in last year’s Governor’s Cup, though at another event a week later he beat the same racers who had taken home first and second. Killian will be competing in the Governor’s Cup for the first time.
