Girl Scouts honor volunteers

Two Costa Mesa men were honored by the Girl Scouts of Orange County for their volunteer service to the organization at a ceremony Sunday.

Jon Bemmer and Armando Trujillo were both presented with prestigious “Good Guy” awards at a luncheon at the Disneyland Hotel, according to a news release.

The award recognizes volunteers who help “behind the scenes,” without holding an official title, the release said.

Richard Rodriguez of Huntington Beach and Rachel Spencer of Irvine were among several others from around the county who received the award.
