Coast district to renew search for chancellor
The Coast Community College District Board of Trustees has announced that the district is renewing its search for a permanent chancellor.
The district has been without a permanent chancellor since Andrew Jones resigned Aug. 13, and has had two interim chancellors.
A national search for a chancellor had been conducted by the board but following interviews with several candidates the decision was made to conclude the search and begin a new one in September.
“This is a critical position for our district,” said Lorraine Prinsky, president of the board.
In the meantime, the board intends to appoint an interim chancellor to head the district until a new one is chosen.
