Well Fest promises good music in the aid of families

Share

Good music, good food, good cause, good times. Well Fest, a student-run concert at the Newport Beach Civic Center, aims to deliver all of these.

The event is being arranged by Corona del Mar High School’s Well Club. For the past two years, these students have been working with the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center to help facilitate wellness in the community. From volunteering at outdoor clinics to raising funds, the Well Club has worked hard to promote healthy living among the residents of Orange County.

From 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, the Well Club kicks off its first concert in the park, featuring six local bands. Performers include students from Corona del Mar High, Orange County School of the Arts and Chapman University.

Admission is $10, with all proceeds going to the Child Abuse Prevention Center. Along with the live music and entertainment, The Burnt Truck will be serving up gourmet sliders and sandwiches.

People of all ages are encouraged to attend.
