Four area nonprofits will receive support through Irvine-based financial institution First Foundation’s Supporting Our Communities initiative, the company announced in a news release.

The donations to the Orangewood Children’s Foundation, Court Appointed Special Advocates, known as CASA, the Prentice School, and the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana will come in the form of grants and financial consulting services.

Up to $1 million in combined cash and services will go to local charities over the course of two years, according to the release.

Senior Managing Director of First Foundation Advisors Doug Freeman said the initiative is about “working collaboratively with worthy causes in Southern California to help them grow and sustain their growth.”

“It means assistance in fundraising, donor cultivation, board building, development of critical policies and protocols, organizational planning and best practices in cash management and investment policies, procedures and strategies,” he said in a statement.

First Foundation President Dave Rahn is a Lido Isle resident.
