Permit applications being accepted

Costa Mesa officials are now accepting applications from people who wish to have a block party on their street during the Fourth of July.

Applications are on the city’s website, https://www.costamesaca.gov, under “Online Services.” Requests for paper copies can be provided by calling (714) 754-5667.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. June 21 — no exceptions — and must be sent in person or mailed to City of Costa Mesa Chief Executive Office, c/o Dan Joyce, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Interested parties must be required to show proof of liability insurance for their events, officials said.
