Body found at Newport’s Back Bay

Authorities are investigating a body found Friday in the Newport Beach Back Bay.

The body of a male was found at about 11:30 a.m. at a trail just off Jamboree Road near Bayview Way, Newport Beach police said.

Police said the body had no obvious signs of physical trauma.

Orange County sheriff’s and coroner’s officials also were on the scene.
