“The Taste of Japan will give attendees an introduction to the rich fabric of Japanese customs and daily habits, as well as a bit of cuisine and entertainment truly unique to Japan’s long history,” the event invitation states.

Revenue from the event will go toward student exchange programs. Each year, the Sister City Assn. and Rotary Club send local students to Okazaki, Japan. The students stay in the homes of their Japanese counterparts, attend local schools and immerse themselves in the culture of the country.

The senior center is at 801 Narcissus Ave., Corona del Mar. Tickets to the event are $40 in advance and $50 at the door.
