Biz News: Medical office complex planned in Newport

Construction is planned to begin this summer on a nearly 64,000-square-foot medical office campus in the Santa Ana Heights area of Newport Beach.

Real Estate Development Associates, an investment company that acquires and develops industrial and office properties in Southern California, is spearheading the project with partners The Bascom Group and Westminster Capital.

Building One, at 20350 Birch St., will be 19,978 square feet, and Building Two, at 20360 Birch, will be 44,000 square feet, according to a news release. Both buildings will feature outdoor courtyards.

Workshop to address stress in workplace

Melissa Alexis Jacobsen, a speaker on ways to handle stress in the workplace, will present a luncheon training workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Capital Seafood restaurant in the Irvine Spectrum at 85 Fortune Drive.

Jacobsen, a resident of Austin, Texas, and the founder of Workplace OM, will discuss five strategies to de-stress the nervous system, along with breathing techniques to achieve greater clarity and focus.

Quick Bridge Funding expands to Irvine

Orange County-based Quick Bridge Funding is moving to new headquarters in Market Place Center in Irvine.

Previously located in Orange, the company has increased its physical footprint to 17,000 square feet at 410 Exchange, Suite 150 in Irvine, according to a news release. In addition, the company opened an East Coast satellite office in New York City.

The Orange County Business Journal recognized Quick Bridge Funding as the fastest growing mid-sized company in 2014, the release states. The firm currently employs 94 with plans to expand its workforce.

CommerceWest recognized for premier performance

Irvine headquartered CommerceWest Bank was recognized as a 2015 Super Premier performing bank by The Findley Reports for the third consecutive year, according to a news release.

New owner for Irvine IT office

The Irvine office of CMIT Solutions has new ownership. Diaa Youssef, a local entrepreneur with 17 years’ experience with a mobile and Internet service provider, recently assumed ownership of the Barranca Parkway location.

“This is an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” Youssef, who lives in Lake Forest, said in a statement. “In addition to giving me an opportunity to leverage my experience in IT and management, business ownership has been a longtime goal of mine.
