Super-agent Scott Boras looks to deal his Newport Coast home

Scott Boras, the high-profile sports agent who has represented such Major League Baseball stars as Alex Rodriguez and Jered Weaver, has put a home in Newport Coast on the market for $3.525 million.

The Mediterranean-style home, built in 2004, has raised ceilings, archways and wrought-iron finishes throughout. Within the 4,150 square feet of space are formal living and dining areas, a contemporary kitchen with a large center island, a media room, four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. A fifth bedroom serves as a gym.

Among features is a two-sided fireplace in the master suite. A soaking tub, a walk-in closet, and a deck with ocean and canyon views completes the owner’s quarters.

Outdoors, a covered patio, a sitting area and formal landscaping make up the 6,000-square-foot grounds.

Records show that Boras and his wife, Jeanette, who is also the listing agent, purchased the home in 2013 for $2.975 million. The couple own other property in the area.

Boras, whose Boras Corp. operates out of Newport Beach, has negotiated billions of dollars worth of baseball contracts over the years, including milestone deals for Prince Fielder, Alex Rodriguez and Bryce Harper, among others. Among his recent deals was a seven-year, $210-million pact with the Washington Nationals for former Cy Young Award-winner Max Scherzer this offseason.
