Second term for two fair board directors

Gov. Jerry Brown has reappointed two Democrats to the Orange County Fair Board.

Nick Berardino and Gerardo Mouet each received their second four-year term on the governing body of the state-owned fairgrounds.

Berardino, 66, of Lake Forest, is also the general manager of the Orange County Employees Assn., a position he will be retiring from this summer.

Mouet, 57, of Santa Ana, is executive director of parks, recreation and community services for the city of Santa Ana.

Both were first appointed to the nine-member board in 2011. The positions are unpaid.
