Man crashes 1 of his 2 trucks into the other
A Costa Mesa man Tuesday crashed his truck into a cinder block wall, backed up and hit another pickup that he owns and then smashed into a tree, authorities said.
Costa Mesa police and firefighters responded to reports of a crash at an apartment building in the 700 block of Shalimar Drive at about 9 a.m., said Lt. Greg Scott.
The man initially drove his Ford F-150 into a cinder block wall at the apartment building. When he put the Ford into reverse, he hit the other truck he owns, embedding it into an adjacent apartment wall.
He then accelerated forward and hit a tree, Scott said.
The man was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. Police could not confirm the severity of his injuries.
