Susan G. Komen Orange County has announced its new 2014-15 board of directors.

They include Costa Mesa resident Carrie Swanson; Laguna Beach resident and retired nurse Sol Reyes Roberts; Judie Vivian, founder of Newport Beach-based nonprofit Standup For the Cure; and Dr. Lisa Guerra, a surgeon at Hoag Hospital.

The Orange County chapter of Susan G. Komen, the widely known breast cancer awareness group, was founded in 1991 and is based in Costa Mesa. It organizes the annual Race for the Cure, scheduled this year for Sept. 28 at Fashion Island.

The chapter has invested about $35 million in breast health programs and helping uninsured and underserved women, according to its website.
