UCI dance marathon raises $26,000 for newborns’ intensive care

A six-hour dance marathon Thursday night at UC Irvine raised more than $26,000 for UCI Medical Center’s neonatal intensive care unit, according to the event’s website.

Hundreds of people participated in the Care-a-Thon, presented by the Student Alumni Assn. at the UCI Student Center’s Pacific Ballroom.

Each dancer was asked to raise at least $25 in pledges.
